Libraries play a major role in fostering literacy, especially among those most needing assistance in developing those skills (preschool and elementary school children).

Luckily, we have two great libraries located here in Bay County!

The Bay County Library and Panama City Beach Public Library are great resources for Bay County parents. In addition to providing free access to many wonderful books they also serve the community with great storytime events for children, Book Babies events, and so much more!

If you don't have a library card... they're FREE and available to all Bay County residents with ID.

Patrons may register online for a library card. This will give you immediate access to their online databases.
